Getting Started with Kartorium

Welcome to Kartorium, a powerful platform designed to help you organize, visualize, and share your data with ease. Whether you're working with point clouds, panoramic imagery, or detailed annotations, Kartorium simplifies the process of turning your assets into accessible, interactive visualizations. This guide provides a quick overview of the key steps to get started and making access to your data easier and faster.

Getting Started: A Quick Overview

Step 1: Upload and Configure Your Data

Kartorium supports a wide range of data types, including:

  • Point Clouds: Upload formats like .e57, .las, .laz, or .glb through the Model Manager.
  • Panoramic Imagery: Add your imagery into Virtual Tour scenes to create immersive experiences.

Simply open the Dashboard, create a new project, and start uploading your files. Our cloud processing system ensures your data is optimized for web compatibility.

Step 2: Add Features to Your Visualizations

Once your project is set up, enhance your visualizations with Features:

  • Use the Label feature to annotate key points with text or icons.
  • Add 3D Models to integrate point clouds into your scenes.
  • Configure your visualizations to highlight what matters most.

Features can be fine-tuned to include additional details, attachments, and even custom fields.

Step 3: Share and Collaborate

Kartorium makes it easy to share your projects securely:

  • Manage user access through the Organization Tab in the Dashboard.
  • Assign roles (e.g., Super User, Editor, Read Only) to control permissions.
  • Use project-specific settings to ensure users only access what they need.

Once users are added, they can interact with your visualizations in a view-only or collaborative capacity.
