Update Feature Position in Map Scene

Step 1: Open the Placement Tab

With the Properties panel open, click on the Placement tab.

Step 2: Choose a New Position

There are two ways to choose a new position for the feature:

Option A: Copy Coordinates

Right-click on the new position in the map and copy the coordinates to the clipboard.

Option B: Move the Feature Manually

Click the Move button in the Properties panel. The cursor will change to a gray cross, and a message will appear at the top:
“Click to move label.”

Click on a new position on the map to move the feature. Once placed, a message will appear in the bottom right:
“Feature Updated.”

Step 3: Ensure the Asset Position Updates

Moving a feature only updates the feature’s position on the map, not the associated asset in the Asset Manager.

To update the asset’s position:

1. Click on the Placement tab again in the Properties panel.

1. Click the green “Update Asset” button underneath the coordinate entry fields.

Step 4: Confirm Asset Update

Once you click the Update Asset button, the asset’s location will be updated in the Asset Manager.
